WHY ARE WE CREATING A BLOG?

Our Blog Site is for the purpose of creating comments from other Churches or Brothers.

Our first post to the blog is a statement of our general beliefs. A more detailed statement of these beliefs can be found on our Web Site, on the "BELIEFS" page.

If you agree with these beliefs we welcome comments, and would like to establish closer fellowship. If you disagree, we still welcome your comments, but would like to see Bible Texts for your differences.

I do not believe Our Lord has given any of us a "perfect" understanding. Until the Rapture occurs, we are all still growing in Grace and understanding. This blog can be a way we can teach and learn, from others.

Because of issues of SPAM and FLAMES, we will moderate all posts.

I pray this blog can be a source of encouragement and fellowship with brothers and sisters of "like faith and order".

WE ARE A SOVEREIGN GRACE
INDEPENDENT BAPTIST CHURCH


WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS STARTED HIS CHURCH WHILE HERE
He promised that church that even "the gates of hell" would not overcome her.
That church was the beginning of all churches.

WE BELIEVE OUR LORD GAVE HIS CHURCH TWO ORDINANCES,
BAPTISM & LORD'S SUPPER.
These ordinances are not tools to produce salvation .
They are evidences of that salvation.
They are similar to the Old Testament sacrifices,
in that they demonstrate salvation.
Baptism = is the ordinance that protects the Church from Un-saved members.
Lord's Supper = is the ordinance that protects the Church member from sin in his life.
Both Ordinances are restricted to the Lord's, Local Church.

THE LORD ONLY GAVE TWO OFFICES TO THE CHURCH.
The Pastor = His duty is to pray, study, preach and teach God's Word.
He is to lead the Church in all things.
The Deacons = Their duty is to encourage the Pastor in his work.
And to take care of the physical necessities of the Church,
Neither the Deacons, nor the Pastor, run the church.
We believe the Lord established His Church as a Democracy.
Every member has a voice.

WE BELIEVE THE GREAT COMMISSION IS THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD TO HIS CHURCH,
It is the duty of every born again believer to spread the Good News of Salvation.
It is the duty of the Church to educate, equip, and support God's people in evangelism.
The exercise of proper evangelism is the only tool for building a sound church.

WE BELIEVE THAT GOD HAS GIVEN US A DIVINE ORDER BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN.
Men are to be leaders and women to be followers.
This is true in Home and Church capacity.
We do not believe a man is better than a woman.

WE BELIEVE IN THE TOTAL SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD.
The God of the Bible never changes.
We believe that sovereignty is stated in what we today call the T.U.L.I.P. Doctrines.
T = Total Depravity.
U = Unconditional Election.
L = Limited Atonement.
I = Irritable Grace.
P = Preservation or Perseverance of true believers.


WE BELIEVE THE OBSERVANCE OF XMAS AND EASTER ARE FROM SATAN.
History or any encyclopedia will show this to be true.


WE BELIEVE OUR BIBLE IS THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD,
REVEALED TO HIS PEOPLE.
The King James Bible is the best translation we have.
God's Bible has no errors, nor contradictions in it.
It is our life long duty to prayerfully study and practice it.


IN ESCHATOLOGY, WE ARE PRE-TRIBULATION AND PRE-MILLENNIAL
The next event on our spiritual horizon will be the Rapture.
At that time the Church will be taken home to be with the Lord.
That will begin a time of Seven Years of Tribulation.
The Anti-Christ will appear on the scene then as a world leader.
The end of that seven years will be the Battle of Armageddon.
Then the Lord will establish His Kingdom for 1,000 years.
His Throne will be in Jerusalem.
His people will rule the earth with Him.
His Church will be beside him as His Bride.
Satan will be released, and then will come the Battle of Gog and Magog.
Then will be the Great White Throne Judgment of the lost.
The Bema Judgment of believers has already happened earlier.
Then begins a New Heaven and a New Earth.
It will last forever.

WE DO NOT PUBLISH NOR PREACH THESE GREAT TRUTHS TO OFFEND.
WE DO BELIEVE GOD HAS GIVEN US THE COMMAND
TO PREACH THE WHOLE BIBLE,
AND WE WOULD BE IN ERROR,
IF WE DID NOT!
